Early Years - Summer Term 2008

We have a busy term ahead as there are always lots of different and exciting events this term – outings and sports to name but two!

Our themes will include role play in the “Garden Centre”, food choices – growing and changes in food, as well as looking more closely at our immediate environment and that of Tewkesbury.

In Literacy we will continue to use our phonic knowledge to build words for early reading and writing skills and develop letter formation and sentence writing. In Numeracy we will continue with addition and look more closely at subtraction to include money recognition and use. We will revise 2 and 3D shape and look at positional language and direction.

Please ensure that your children have PE pumps in school now – we will use the field as much as possible this term. The children will need sun hats in school everyday now please. In very hot weather, please apply sun cream before the children come to school.

Please continue to send in items of news, achievements or interests that your children have and fill in the books they share with you in the ‘home to school’ booklet. We will continue to send homework and word sheets, so please help with these tasks.
